Pomona Electronics’ Infrared Temperature probe quickly converts your DMM into a non-contact thermometer.
Pomona Electronics’ Infrared (IR) Temperature probe quickly converts any DMM into a thermometer, eliminating the need for adapters or additional instruments. Over time, infrared temperature sensing provides a low cost alternative to a thermocouple probe and provides superior response time, durability and ease of use. The probe plugs directly into the voltage jacks of a DMM, and offers fast, accurate and highly repeatable temperature readings that are quickly displayed on the DMM.
Ideal for a broad range of applications such as circuit board troubleshooting, laboratory analysis, automotive service/repair, plant maintenance and HVAC, Pomona’s non-contact IR probe can safely carry our measurements in environments that are virtually impossible for contact sensors. Moving objects, strong electromagnetic fields, internal process chambers, and static sensitive devices can be measured quickly and accurately. Pomona’s non-contact IR probes eliminate the possibility of accidental contamination or altering the shape of the device under measurement.
The new Model 6377 Infrared Temperature Probe features a temperature range of –18 °C to +260 °C.
The Infrared Temperature probe provides the solution for the many meters on the market that do not have temperature measurement capability. The sheathed style banana plugs connect directly into virtually any multimeter, allowing technicians to quickly take the temperature measurement, identify the problem, and prevent downtime without additional instrumentation.
